You can request deletion of your Tutera Learning account and the personal information associated with it. This page explains how to submit a deletion request, what information may be removed, what information may need to be retained, and what happens after your request is completed.
How to Request Account Deletion
Option 1: Through Your Tutera Learning Account
If the account deletion feature is available in your account:
- Log in to your Tutera Learning account.
- Open your Profile or Account Settings.
- Select Delete Account.
- Follow the instructions to confirm your request.
If your account does not currently provide an in-account deletion option, you can use the email method below.
Option 2: Request Deletion by Email
If you cannot access your account or prefer to submit your request by email, contact us at:

"Account Deletion Request"
Include your:
- Full name
- Registered email address
- Phone number, if associated with your account
- Account type, such as student, tutor, parent, or guardian
We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request. This helps prevent unauthorized individuals from deleting or accessing another person's account.
Before You Delete Your Account
Depending on your role and account activity, certain matters may need to be completed before account deletion.
Students
Before deletion, please make sure:
- Any upcoming tutoring sessions are completed or cancelled.
- Any outstanding amounts related to completed services are settled.
- Any open disputes involving your account are resolved.
Tutors
Before deletion, please make sure:
- Any upcoming or active tutoring sessions are completed or cancelled.
- Any open disputes involving your account are resolved.
- Any pending payments or payouts are completed.
- Any applicable subscription or membership is cancelled separately where required.
If an issue prevents immediate deletion, we will explain what needs to be resolved before the request can be completed.
What Happens to Your Information
After we receive and verify your deletion request, Tutera Learning will delete or anonymize personal information that is no longer required for legitimate business, legal, security, or regulatory purposes.
Information that may be deleted or anonymized includes:
- Account name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Password and account credentials
- Profile photograph
- Student profile information
- Tutor profile information
- Tutor biography and qualifications
- Subjects and courses
- Rates and availability
- Booking-related personal information
- Chat messages and attachments, where deletion is technically and legally available
- Notification information
- Device-related identifiers
- Other personal information associated with your account that is not required to be retained
Your tutor profile may also be removed from applicable tutor listings and search results following account deletion.
Deletion timeframe: We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, unless a longer period is required or permitted by applicable law.
Information We May Need to Keep
Deleting your account does not necessarily require us to delete every record immediately.
Certain information may need to be retained for legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, security, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate purposes.

Retained information will be protected with appropriate safeguards and will not be used for purposes unrelated to the reason for retention, except where permitted or required by law.
Where practical, retained information may be anonymized or restricted from ordinary account use.
What Happens After Account Deletion
Once your account has been deleted:
- You will no longer be able to access the deleted account.
- Your tutor profile, where applicable, will no longer be available through Tutera Learning listings.
- Personal information that is not required to be retained will be deleted or anonymized.
- Certain legally required or necessary records may remain for the applicable retention period.
- Information that has already been lawfully shared with third-party service providers may be subject to those providers' own retention policies.
- We may send a confirmation email after the deletion request has been completed.
Account deletion may be permanent. Please save any information you may need before submitting your request.
Deleting Specific Information
You do not necessarily need to delete your entire Tutera Learning account to request removal or correction of specific information.
Where available, you may update your profile information through your account settings.

Subscription and Payment Information
If you have an active paid subscription, membership, tutoring package, or other recurring payment arrangement, account deletion may not automatically cancel the payment arrangement if the payment is managed through a separate third-party platform.
Where applicable, cancel recurring payments through the payment provider used to purchase the subscription.
